Our Favorite Podcasts for 2019

Whether you’re getting ready for work or relaxing in your June Home, sometimes we all need to change up our entertainment. Podcasts are perfect if you’re not in the mood to listen to your music playlist, but still want something to keep you engaged. These four podcasts are our favorite listens so far in 2019!

1.Almost 30

I think we can all agree that life during our 20s is a time when life’s biggest transitions take place. From living situations, to work life, to relationships, it’s almost as if we are thrown into “the real world” expecting to have the answers to all of life’s biggest questions. Co-founders and hosts of Almost 30, Krista Williams and Lindsey Simcik, set out to create a podcast that lets all of us in our 20s and beyond know that we are not alone on this rollercoaster ride. These two girl bosses reflect on their own 20-something journeys, while also providing listeners with thought-provoking, inspiring, and funny interviews with entrepreneurs to gurus to healers. You will definitely feel major inspo after listening to just one episode of this podcast.

2. How I Built This with Guy Raz

Ever wonder how your favorite brand or business came to be? Well, Guy Raz from NPR has most likely spoken to its founder on How I Built This. This podcast dives deep into the individual and detailed stories behind some of the world’s biggest companies through interviews with the determined and passionate entrepreneurs of those businesses. Guests of the show range from Julie Rice and Elizabeth Cutler, the founders of SoulCycle, to Jerry Murrell of the Five Guys restaurant chain, to Jimmy Wales, the mind behind Wikipedia. This podcast will be sure to provide an extra boost of motivation on your morning commute.

3. The Skinny Confidential: Him & Her Podcast

It’s official: Lauryn Evarts Bosstick and Michael Bosstick are couple goals! It makes sense that you can’t spell their last name without the word “boss” because these two are killing it in the podcast game. Their show has over 4000 five-star reviews and over 25 million episodes downloaded. The entrepreneurs cover all topics on their show from beauty and wellness to relationships and business tips. With the Skinny Confidential, you can expect to hear interviews with celebrities, industry experts, influencers, and more that are jam-packed with juicy information that you’ll want to jot down.

4. Diet Starts Tomorrow

With the rise of health and fitness influencers on social media and major wellness companies such as Goop coming to the forefront, it can be hard not to stress about which diet or workout regime to try next. Co-founders of Betches and hosts Aleen Kuperman and Samantha Fishbein can relate, which is why Diet Starts Tomorrow came about. Listening to this podcast feels like talking to your best friends about how you failed the Keto diet after three days or loved a new workout class that you tried the other day. In terms of authenticity, this show gets REAL.
