Compared to most neighborhoods in Boston, Savin Hill offers affordable accommodation, making it a popular residential area among students and young working professionals.
Here you’ll find apartments and condos in abundance, with spacious rooms that may surprise you for the price you pay. It’s not uncommon for Savin Hill homes to be refurbished but still boast a historical charm, with rarer amenities like private balconies. Many Victorian-style three-story homes are rented out as multi-family housing, allowing a younger crowd to rent affordably by the room in beautiful, unique homes.
One of the best things that makes the city student-friendly is the abundance of student accommodation in Boston. Being as modern and comfortable as they are, these accommodations are an amazing option for students who are pursuing their education in prestigious institutions like Harvard Business School and Boston University.
Conveniently located near Downtown Boston, Savin Hill is a sweet spot for residents who want to live close to the city, without living in the city. Those who live in this neighborhood get to enjoy both the tranquility of the suburbs and the proximity of the bustling city when they’re in the mood for something more lively.
Besides its affordability, Savin Hill is also popular among students for its proximity to several Boston colleges and academic institutions, particularly UMASS and the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library.
