You provide information to us when you: browse our Services; provide information in your account; communicate with us by phone, chat, text message or email; complete a questionnaire; or engage in other interactions with us.
Through these interactions, you may provide information including, but not limited to: name, address, e-mail address, phone numbers, date of birth, social security number, government-issued ID or passport, bank statements, letters of employment, employment contracts, pay stubs, letters of acceptance, letters of recommendation, references from landlords or roommates, visa information, transactional information (based on your activities on the Services and content you generate or that relates to your account), community discussions, chats with us or other users and landlords, dispute resolution, and the contents of any correspondence sent to us (including call recordings, emails, and text messages).
If you sign up for a June Homes account, you may also provide us with your name, photos, links to your social media accounts, age, hobbies, habits, occupation, and a short bio.
If you make a payment on the Services, your payment-related information, such as credit card or other financial information, may be collected by a third party payment processor on our behalf.
If you participate in a Virtual Tour, we may record the tour for quality control purposes.
We also automatically collect certain types of information about you or your device when you interact with our Services.
Usage and Device Information. To help us understand how you use our Services and to help us improve them, we automatically receive information about your interactions with our Services, and the device and software you use to access them. For example, we collect the full Uniform Resource Locator (URL) click stream to, through and from our Services, including date and time; cookie number; and the phone number you used to call our +1 (888) 457-6697 number.
We also collect IP address, browser type and version, operating system and platform, statistics on page views, traffic to and from the Services, ad data, standard web log information, session information, including page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, your searches, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page.
Location Information. When you use our Services, if you allow us, we will receive your precise location information. We may also infer your general location information (for example, your IP address may indicate your general geographic region).
Background Checks. We work with third party partners to perform background checks on users (including users, members and guarantors), and receive publicly available information such as criminal history, eviction history, and address history.
We also receive credit history information from credit bureaus and third-party credit card fraud detection services, which we use to help prevent and detect fraud. We also ask you to send us additional information (such as your driver’s license, credit card or bank statement, a recent utility bill, an employment agreement, pay stub, tax return or other information), or to answer additional questions online to help verify your information.
Other Third Parties. We might also receive information about you from other sources. Examples of this information may include: information from social media services that we have integrated into our Services (e.g., Facebook); page-view information from merchants with which we operate co-branded businesses or for which we provide technical, fulfillment, advertising, or other services; and information from partners like Zillow and Trulia who share your search term and search result information with us.
If you choose to link our Services to a third-party account, we may receive information about you, including your name, email address, profile photo, and your linking of the third-party account. If you wish to limit the information available to us, you should visit the privacy settings of your third-party accounts to learn about your options.
We use the information we collect:
Vendors and Service Providers. We may share any information we receive with vendors and service providers retained in connection with the provision of our Services.
Third Party Service Integrations. If you connect a third-party account to our Services, we may share information with that third party regarding your linking of the third party account with June Homes.
Analytics Partners. We use analytics services such as Google Analytics to collect and process certain analytics data. These services may also collect information about your use of other websites, apps, and online resources. Third Party Advertisers. We use third-party advertising companies to e-mail or serve ads on our behalf. We may also serve ads or send e-mail which incorporates third party cookie or action tags. These cookie or action tags may track your response to e-mail or advertisements and measure their effectiveness or award incentives or points to their members who respond to their advertisements. Sweepstakes, Contests and Surveys. From time-to-time we may provide you the opportunity to participate in sweepstakes, contests or surveys on our Services. If you participate, we will request certain information from you. Participation in sweepstakes, contests or surveys is completely voluntary and you therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose this information. By entering a sweepstakes or contest, you will be agreeing to the official rules governing the sweepstakes or contest and we may post on our Services the names of the sweepstakes or contest winners.
User Profiles and Content. Our Service enable connections between users (members, guarantors, and other users)and between users and landlords. Your name and other profile information will always be viewable and searchable by other users. Anonymized information may also be made publicly available on our website (for example, we show anonymized roommate profiles for properties). Any content you post to the Services will be displayed on the Services and viewable by other users by default.
Sharing Between Users. You may communicate and share information with other users (members, guarantors, and other users) and landlords through our chat services.
Business Transfers. If we are acquired by or merged with another company, if substantially all of our assets are transferred to another company, or as part of a bankruptcy proceeding, we may transfer the information we have collected from you to the acquiring company. We may also disclose and transfer information about you to service providers, advisors, potential transactional partners, or other third parties in connection with the consideration, negotiation, or completion of the corporate transaction.
Compliance with Law and Fraud Protection. We may access, preserve, and disclose your information if we believe doing so is required or appropriate to: (a) comply with law enforcement requests and legal process, such as a court order or subpoena; (b) respond to your requests; or (c) protect your, our, or others’ rights, property, or safety. For the avoidance of doubt, the disclosure of your information may occur if you post any objectionable content on or through the Services.
Consent. We may also disclose information from or about you or your devices with your permission.
Sharing Preferences. We provide you with settings to allow you to set your sharing preferences for content you post to the Services. Certain information may always be publicly available to others, and other information is made publicly available to others by default. To change whether certain information is publicly viewable and to which users you would like to make it viewable, you can adjust the settings in your account by visiting the “Privacy Settings” section of your profile.
Marketing Communications. You can unsubscribe from our promotional emails and text messages via the link and instructions provided in the messages. Even if you opt-out of receiving promotional messages from us, you will continue to receive administrative messages from us.
Location Information. You can prevent your device from sharing precise location information at any time through your device’s operating system settings.
We make reasonable efforts to protect your information by using physical and electronic safeguards designed to improve the security of the information we maintain. However, as our Services are hosted electronically, we can make no guarantees as to the security or privacy of your information.
Our Services are hosted in the United States and intended for visitors located within the United States. If you choose to use the Services from the European Union or other regions of the world with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from U.S. law, then please note that you are transferring your personal information outside of those regions to the United States for storage and processing. Also, we may transfer your data from the U.S. to other countries or regions in connection with storage and processing of data, fulfilling your requests, and operating the Service. By providing any information, including personal information, on or to the Services, you consent to such transfer, storage, and processing.
