Can I extend my stay?
We're thrilled you'd like to stay with June Homes longer! The price on your new lease will likely be up to 5% off the web price for your desired dates. Some differences might apply in select areas and we will always comply with all local rent regulations.
If you've already agreed to accept a priority offer *, then your extension price will be the rate of that offer.
- A priority offer is made to you from June Homes at any point during your stay, if someone applies to be the next resident of your room. You have the option to extend immediately, signing to stay for at least as long as the applicant and at their price.
The only time you would not be able to extend your stay is if we have not heard back after the issued priority offer & a new resident secured the space.
What upfront costs should I expect?
Your upfront payment is the same no matter your move-in date: after signing, you’ll pay your first full month of rent (covering your first full monthly period from your move-in date), one full month of rent as a security deposit, and all applicable fees. For example, if you move in on March 10, your first full month runs from March 10 to April 9, and that period is what you pay upfront, plus the deposit and fees. In your next billing cycle, you’ll pay a prorated amount to align your billing to the end of the calendar month (such as April 10–April 30), and then full monthly payments going forward. If your stay is for one month, regardless of your move-in date, we will require your full stay to be charged upfront, including your security deposit (if applicable).
Please note all upfront payments are due within 3 days of your signature date.
Please note this upfront payment policy applies to extensions and relocations as well. Find out what a prorated bill is here. In certain States, we do not collect a security deposit and instead require payment of an upfront fee.
Consult welcome@junehomes.com for more information. For the city of Boston, it is mandatory that your security deposit is held through our partner Rentable.
How do shared homes work?
Many tenants in major U.S. cities prefer to rent with roommates as it's usually more cost efficient to rent this way. June Homes helps roommates find each other to co-sign the lease and move into the same apartment. Please note that according to local housing regulations, you are NOT renting a private bedroom, but rather a portion of the entire apartment.
You and your roommates will share the cost of rent and utilities for the whole apartment and the prices you see on our site are the allocable portion of rent you are agreeing to pay.
Here's why residents are loving June.
Don't just take our word for it!
